Take the Change Code Assessment

The Change Code shows how the world is made up of individuals operating from different value systems or layers. These layers are based on people’s value systems and the complexity of their lives. Each value system has its own unique paradigm and user manual for societal organization, including its perspectives on politics, religion, and education. As we collectively experience more and more complex conditions, more of us evolve into and incorporate the next layer.

These layers are based on the developmental psychology model from Dr. Clare W. Graves. Graves discovered the underlying pattern for human and societal change and the sequence of stages that we all move through, also known as Spiral Dynamics, or what I call “The Change Code.” In the late 1960s, Maclean’s Magazine referred to his concept as “the theory that explains everything.” While Graves would cringe at such a broad statement about his work, it does indeed act as a unifying framework that applies to a single individual, an organization, or an entire society.[i]
